Knowing and being involved with your child makes a large difference in your child.

Being a positive model for fathers takes continually learning, flexibility and consistency. Resources are available to fathers to help them be positive examples. Using the knowledge gained from the resources takes practice and support. Being there for a child is the first step and will make a lasting impact on the life of a child.

Statistics are rising on the number of un-involved fathers across the country. To stop the spread of father absence, fathers need to be willing to step up to the plate and take care of their child. Being a father is more than providing sperm for an egg; it is being involved and helping in the raising of that child in good times and hard times.

Many of the National programs and websites have information and resources for fathers to read about.
